Kris Klaasen started writing music reviews in Calgary for college and university papers as well as the Calgary Herald. He also wrote occasional record reviews for the Georgia Straight in the 80s.
A lifelong communicator and music enthusiast, Kris has been involved with the Vancouver Folk Music Festival in various capacities for more than 35 years and has recently been studying African hand drumming. He's also a pretty good whistler.
