ALWAYS FOR REAL
Still vital and pushing the edge, veteran rockers The Pretenders were getting ready to release their first album in four years May 1 and kick off a North American tour next week. The release has been delayed until July 17. And, who knows when audiences anywhere will gather next for a live concert?
The band has pre-released three songs: ballad You Can’t Hurt a Fool, mid-tempo rocker The Buzz and the thrashy Hate for Sale. Chrissie Hynde is in superb voice and the line-up – featuring its original touring members for the first time in more than 20 years – is sounding as solid and strong as ever.
